The soul of our world is a great interconnecting sea that covers most of the planet and those of us who tread upon its crusts must take the responsibility of preserving the balance that exists within this symbiotic ecosystem. The duty that being bipedal and circumnavigating has thrust upon us is illustrated perfectly in the circle of life that is found within the great sea. From the plankton and other similar microorganisms to the mighty whales that marshal the seas the rhythm that embraces the life in the sea is at the mercy of the beat that is pounded out by those that tread the surface of its crusts. Most of the life of the sea exists under its surface and its organisms adapt to their environment with a specialization that isn't known to us. They have no need for tools or implements to carve out a place for themselves because their organs have adapted to utilize the environment in which they find themselves. Land dwellers must manufacture shelter for themselves using artificial tools that become waste within their environment.

Now, more than ever the sea is crying out for our help and is in dire need of our attention. Some think that controlling the populations of the crust is the best solution however, in consideration of the history of the ice ages and desertification of the planet in reality the indicator points to the utilization of the surface area of the seas as a channel of migration and a surface upon which to live.

If one third of the population could reside on that 75% of the planet that is virtually uninhabited by the crust dwellers then the rest of the surface inhabited by crust walkers could accommodate the overcrowding that exists in so many places on the planet.

What I'm suggesting is a self contained floating environment that is self sufficient and autonomous to be located in International waters along the coastline that can act as an organized society of independent contractors living in an agrarian collective that harvests its food, water, power, resources, building materials and livelihood from the sea.

Below is a basic layout of the design.

This is the map of the joceans13 seapods ecosystem. It is 1.25 miles long and 1.25 miles wide.

This system provides four layers of surface area. It includes a fresh water reservoir a reverse osmosis freshwater generation plant a living area a power conversion and a farming surface. Read more about the design of this system on the SPECULATION PAGE .
